Receptionist

As a receptionist you are the first point of contact for the company, therefore, it's down to you to make that all important good first impression. So, above anything else you'll need to have a good rapport with people to make them feel looked after and at ease.

Responsibilities

These are some of the basic set of tasks you'll be in charge of:

  • Answering queries
  • Answering calls and taking messages
  • Logging customer journey bookings into the database
  • Providing customers with an accurate price for their journey
  • Checking for flight details on the internet& updating the database accordingly
  • Preparation of sales and marketing literature
  • Keeping the reception area tidy
  • Receipt of mail and courier parcels
Skills and Interests

You have to enjoy dealing with the public and have a polite, helpful manner. You'll also need to look the part too.
These are some of the key skills that will be expected of you:

  • Knowledge of the local area
  • Good written and spoken communications skills
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure

  • Hours and Environment

    You will be required to work during normal office hours which are from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
    Appearance is really important in creating a good first impression. Therefore, your dress code should be of a smart appearance. You may even be required to wear a work t-shirt advertising the company.
    You will report to the Shift Manager who will be in charge of your shift.

    Sales & Marketing Manager

    You have to enjoy dealing with the public and have a polite, helpful manner. You'll also need to look the part too.

  • Achieves sales and marketing objectives by contributing sales and marketing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets sales and marketing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing monthly/annual budgets; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the area; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new services; analysing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; monitoring the competition.
  • Accomplishes sales and marketing objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Updates job knowledge by reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.
  • Skills/Qualifications

    Financial Planning and Strategy, Marketing Concepts, Positioning, Territory Management, Sales Planning, Competitive Analysis, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Client Relationships Management and Knowledge of Autocab Ghost Despatch software.
